Canadian politicians, notably opposition leader Pierre Poilievre, Toronto MP Kevin Vuong, and MP Chandra Arya, strongly condemned the Khalistani radicals’ recent attack on the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton. “Our country’s leaders have failed to protect Hindus,” says a member of parliament from Toronto.

The attack on Hindus at a temple was also denounced by the Indian government, which also stated that the Canadian authorities had been asked to provide robust security measures for such occasions, which are part of regular diplomatic operations, well in advance. Poilievre, Trudeau’s political opponent, promised to put an end to Canada’s chaotic atmosphere and argued for the “right to practice faith in peace.”

All Canadians should be allowed to peacefully exercise their religion, according to Poilievre, who shared a post on X that read, “Completely unacceptable to see violence targeting worshippers at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton today.” Conservatives categorically denounce this violence. “I’ll bring our people together and put an end to the chaos,” he continued.
