When gold ornaments valued at ₹4 lakh were taken from a Mumbai woman’s house, her plans for Diwali cleaning descended into a traumatic event. Leena Mhatre, a 55-year-old Dahisar homeowner, had scheduled a cleaning service via the No Broker app on October 21 in anticipation of the holiday season.

Two people showed up at Mhatre’s house in the Rishikesh Society on J.S. Road, Dahisar East, at approximately nine in the morning on October 22, the day after the service was scheduled. While they were working, Mhatre discovered that her gold ornaments were gone and that someone had unlocked her closet. Only after the cleaners had departed did she realize the theft and promptly reported it to the authorities.

Authorities responded promptly to her accusation and named 27-year-old Arbaz Khan as the main suspect. Two more people, Santosh Omprakash Yadav and Sufiyan Nazeer Ahmad Soudar, were recognized by police after they examined CCTV footage from the apartment complex. They are currently being questioned.
