The user, 27 years old, learned that his cook has not only a maid working for him but also hires a cook, and this is how the dynamics of domestic services are changing in urban India.

The cook revealed that he was paying ₹2,500 for his cook and ₹3,000 for maid services from his small 1BHK apartment. The Reddit user at this time remembered his maid for whom he had paid ₹2,000 within a slightly larger 2BHK apartment.
