Ajaz Khan Encounters Legal Trouble Again as Customs Department Seizes Drugs Worth Rs 35 Lakh from His Mumbai Office, Linking Him to Ongoing Drug Investigations
The Bollywood actor Ajaz Khan is in trouble again and this time with the Customs department where drugs worth about Rs 35 lakh were recently recovered from his office in Andheri Mumbai. The search was conducted on Tuesday, after a staff of Khan’s, Suraj Gaur, was arrested under the NDPS Act. Preliminary investigations suggest that Gaur who received MD ordered about 100 grams of the substance from Europe and had a connection to Khan’s office.

This raises concern and much more so given the fact that Ajaz Khan has a record of breaking the law. In 2021 he was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) at Mumbai airport through an investigation which linked him to supplier of drugs. He was then incarcerated in Arthur Road Jail and was later released on bail in 2023. In addition, in 2018, he was arrested by the Navi Mumbai Anti Narcotics Cell on charges of holding ecstasy tablets in a hotel.
Suraj Gaur is expected to be produced in a court today, where the officials are expected to quiz him further over the drugs and their purpose. Gaur said that he has met Khan during their time in prison that is in Arthur Road Jail which indicates there may be more to their relationship in terms of criminal charges they both faced in the past.

Ajaz Khan tried for political career this year by joining Lok Sabha Elections as independent candidate. When filing his election affidavit, he stated that he had total movable assets worth of Rs 44, 50,000. With this latest happening, Ajaz Khan and his career and image are again threatened by new legal problems.
