Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport located in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore received a bomb threat following which the police registered a case and initiated a probe into the matter, an official said on Wednesday.

The bomb threat was sent to the airport authority via email on Tuesday, and they then reported the matter to the district’s Aerodrum police station. Vinod Kumar Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP, Zone 1), stated: “The Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport received a bomb threat via email on Tuesday. The email also includes the names of further cities across the nation.”

Following the event, the airport authority filed a complaint at the district’s Aerodrum police station. In response, a case has been filed, and the police have asked GMail authorities for details regarding the problem, according to Meena. He continued by saying that similar threats had been made in the past and that more research was being done on the subject.
Moreover similar to this an email containing a bomb threat was received by a mental health facility in the Indore area on June 12; however, it was later determined to be fraudulent. After learning of the danger, the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team and the police went to the hospital in the city’s Banganga neighborhood and searched the building, but they were unable to detect anything.
