Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former President Donald Trump, arrived in Hickory, North Carolina, a few days after her father started a GoFundMe campaign to aid Hurricane Helene victims, hoping to partake in the charitable efforts of recovery organizations.

On Wednesday, October 2, the former presidential advisor was spotted in Western North Carolina volunteering with charitable organizations like Mercy Chefs, Love & Life, and CityServe.
The deadly storm’s devastation forced the US state to return to “old-fashioned ways of communicating and coping” almost a week after it made ashore, according to the Associated Press. The residents have been without electricity and have felt isolated. In the meantime, hundreds more people remain unaccounted for in the Southeast of the United States, according to many reports, which put the death toll during these difficult times at almost 190. Severe flooding impacted North Carolina the worst. CNN stated that the Old North State has lost ninety-five individuals.
