Priyanka Chopra Reflects on Her Journey: Sharing Childhood Photos and Embracing Self-Love While Inspiring Fans to Celebrate Their Own Transformations

Priyanka Chopra recently “walked down the memory lane” by posting a heart-tugging post on her Instagram page that features her “awkward pre-teen” years with an amazing picture from her teenage days after she won the Miss India title. In the post, the star actress, active in the entertainment industry for nearly a quarter of a century now, jokingly warned her followers that ” Warning: Don’t troll my 9-year-old self”. As she tried on how puberty, with all its grooming, could be dramatic as she made the change from that boyish hairstyle to become more glamorous as the start of a career.

The collage included two photographs taken less than a decade apart-one of her in a “katori cut” as a child and the other of her at 17, basking in newfound stardom. Chopra quoted Britney Spears, stating that she felt caught between girlhood and womanhood at the moment she entered the entertainment industry. Now nearly 25 years later, she spoke about still figuring it out and many people can identify themselves with similar experiences of growth.

What she posted resonated with fans and celebrities alike, and the praise and admiration began to pour in. Actor Sunil Grover commented and so did many of her followers saying that her journey is relatable; many of them pointed out that the candidness inspires them to reflect on their own transformation. One of them said, “Every brown girl has a picture like this, I swear! You’re so brave for posting yours,” said one. This is what empowerment and self-love should look like: Priyanka was posting about that – get everyone to love their younger selves, the effort they’ve put into getting to where they are.

Professionally, Priyanka has remained busy with the wrap-up shoot of her forthcoming film, The Bluff. She is also committed to Heads of State and will be sharing the screen space with John Cena and Idris Elba.
