As tensions rise due to violence between Israel and Hezbollah, the Indian Embassy in Lebanon has advised its citizens to leave the country. The Indian community residing in the West Asian nation has been advised to leave by the Embassy, which has issued a travel advisory. whatever Indians who stay there for whatever reason are recommended to exercise extreme caution and limited mobility.

Indian people are strongly urged not to travel to Lebanon till further notice due to the recent developments and escalations in the region, according to the Indian Embassy in Beirut.

It is also highly recommended that any Indian nationals who are currently in Lebanon depart. It also stated, “Those who stay for any reason are advised to use extreme caution, limit their travel, and stay in contact with the Indian Embassy in Beirut via our email address, cons.beirut@mea.gov.in, or the emergency phone number, +96176860128.”

Since September 23, over 600 people have died as a result of Israeli bombings in Lebanon. According to the health ministry in Beirut, at least 72 people died on Wednesday, according to AFP. 38 persons were murdered in the southern part of Lebanon, 12 in the eastern Bekaa region, and 22 in three towns north and south of Beirut as a result of the airstrikes. There were over 400 injuries. In addition, thousands of residents in the area have left their homes as Israel launched attacks on Monday, mostly targeting Hezbollah fighters within the nation.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, emphasized that military action against Hezbollah would not end until people in the north could go back to their homes in safety. “We will continue to hit Hezbollah… the one who has a missile in his living room and a rocket in his home will not have a home,” he said.
