The administration of the temple emphasized that by encouraging the devotees to make the prasad with love and dedication, this process is intended to enhance their spiritual experience. It is believed that making prasad at home shows a more genuine and intimate relationship with the god, more in line with customs.

The decision was made, according to the temple administrators, to guarantee holiness and purity in the offerings made to the deity. “From now on, the temple will only take dry fruits or prasad prepared in devotees’ homes as offerings. The warning stated that “market-bought sweets and other processed items are no longer permitted for rituals.”

In the midst of the dispute, 13 samples of goods being sold as “prasadam” outside Mathura temples were gathered by the Uttar Pradesh Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) and sent for analysis, an official stated on Sunday. The samples were taken over the course of the previous two days from the well-known Mathura Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, the Govardhan Daan Ghati Temple, and the Thakur Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan. According to FSDA Assistant Commissioner Dhirendra Pratap Singh, the action was conducted because Tirupati laddus was allegedly adulterated.
