Weather News: Kolkata And Mumbai To Witness Rain Until Sept 22, 24, Heavy Showers Expected in MP, Chhattisgarh And Uttarakhand

With the southwest monsoon season coming to an end, there were no alerts for heavy rainfall throughout the nation on September 19 and 20, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). On the other hand, several areas of Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata are predicted to have light rain today.

The national capital should continue to have gloomy weather with light showers, thunderstorms, and strong surface winds in isolated regions reaching speeds of 25 to 35 km/h. The city’s maximum and lowest temperatures are probably going to stay between 35 and 26 degrees Celsius. In addition to Delhi, there will likely be sporadic showers in Mumbai until September 24 and across Kolkata until September 22.

September 24 and 25, in west Madhya Pradesh; September 23 to 25, in east Madhya Pradesh; and September 22 to 25, in Chhattisgarh, are all predicted to get significant rainfall. Parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh are expected to see light to moderate rainfall, which is expected to be scattered to moderately widespread.

There’s a good chance of isolated, intense rain on September 22 and 23 over sections of Odisha; September 21 and 22 over Assam and Meghalaya; and September 21 to 25 across Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

Light to moderate rainfall is predicted for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the week, isolated to scattered light and moderate rainfall over the rest of east India and Arunachal Pradesh, and scattered to fairly widespread moderate rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
