Miss World 2000 beauty contest was won by 18-year-old Priyanka Chopra. Now, in 2024, Priyanka returned to the same location in London, this time to see her husband Nick Jonas perform. The star posted a sentimental photo from the location to Instagram, along with a description of her “desperate” attempt to prevent her dress from falling. Following her Miss World title, Priyanka entered the cinema industry and acted in her first Tamil film, Thamizhan (2002), before starring in her first Bollywood film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003).

Priyanka shared about the memory in the caption of her most recent photo, saying, “I was crowned Miss World at this arena 24 years ago.” Back then, it was known as the Millennium Dome. I will always remember the eager, anxious, and competitive 18-year-old me who was always wanting to look and feel my best.”

She continued, “One thing I will never forget about November 30, 2000, is how I felt balancing on pencil heels while wearing a stunning Hemant Trivedi dress that kept falling off all evening due to my body tape coming off from nervousness and excessive perspiration.” When I win, I appear to be doing a namaste in appreciation, but in reality, I’m urgently trying to keep my dress up, as you can see if you google the photos. (laughing face emojis) Obviously, I made it through and everything worked out in the end.
