Even now, when August 15 is observed, a sense of patriotism permeates our thoughts. Red Fort, Delhi
It becomes traditional now to see thousands of people flocking to the Red Fort area in order to celebrate the Independence Day. The flag hosting is done on August 15 where the Prime Minister of the country goes to the Red Fort to host the flag and to address the countrymen. This scene in itself is historic and full of patriotism. You have to go once in life to hoist the tricolour on the Independence Day at the Red Fort.
Wagah Border, Amritsar –
This is actually a border dividing India and Pakistan; you get an out of the way, raw feel of patriotism here. While everyday the soldiers of the country perform Jashnnam here and the people of the country are showered with the spirit of, patriotism the spirit here on 15 th August is quite different. Several programs are hosted here. Which is quite sufficient to recall the martyrs’ sacrifice.
India Gate, Delhi
One can also visit on Delhi’s India Gate on Independence Day celebration. It has an excellent view at all times but the most magnificent sight is witnessed on India Gate when it is adorned with laser lights in the hues of the tricolour on the 15th of August. Patriotism is at work at the India Gate.
