During an appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast on his YouTube channel, 51-year-old Bollywood actor John Abraham discussed his belief in not endorsing Paan Masala ads that promote “death.” John Abraham, well-known for his disciplined dietary habits and fitness regimen, has voiced his disapproval of pan masala products advertising.

I am a role model

John Abraham stated his disapproval of endorsing anything that contradicts it. He stated that being a role model involves aligning one’s words with their actions. If I speak one thing in your presence and behave differently, someone will observe. On one hand, we discuss health and well-being and, on the other hand, we offer Paan Masala for sale.

I will not sell death

Celebrity figures such as Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Shah Rukh Khan have promoted gutka and Paan Masala products in a subtle manner. John clarified that he is not showing any disrespect towards any of these actors. He expressed his love for all his actor friends. I am not finding fault with anyone. I am speaking about my own self. I refuse to sell any products that cause harm or death. It’s a principle-based issue.

Government supports this

John mentioned that the pan masala industry brings in an annual revenue of Rs 45,000 crore. He explained, “It indicates that the government is also in favor of this.” This is the reason why it’s not against the law. John’s comments sparked a debate about the ethical responsibilities of celebrities when it comes to endorsing products.
