Cabinet minister Nand Gopal Nandi’s son and daughter-in-law was injured in the car accident on Agra-Lucknow Expressway in the Kannauj district on Tuesday when their car hit the divider and overturned.
Both of the were taken to Tirwa Medical College and after receiving first aid they were taken to Lucknow in an ambulance. When informed, their family members came to be with them. The accident occurred at about 3:40 pm when the minister’s son Abhishek Gupta and daughter-in-law Krishnika were on their way to Lucknow through the expressway in the car. Having crossed the Tirwa cut, the driver lost his balance at the 194-KM-Milestone, hit the divider and rolled over.
The car overturned and rolled severally and the two people in the car were seriously harmed. All of them were first rushed to Tirwa medical college in an ambulance and after basic treatment they were again transferred to lucknow in an ambulance with police protection. Others to be informed were their family members.
Incharge of Tirwa Kotwali police station Jitendra Singh said that getting information about the accident the family members of Krishnika reached in medical college. As stated by the eye witnesses, the car being out of control hit the divider to the rear and dragged to a reasonable distance. Front part of the car was affected as well as the engine of the vehicle, which emerged into the vicinity of approximately 100 meters.
“None of them had critical injuries sustained during the accident,” the witnesses said Later, while the car was still in motion, the Krishnika could open the door and got out of the car Although Abhishek who remained trapped inside the car was rescued by the policemen.

Further elaborating about the accident, Nand Gopal Nandi went on to state at X ‘Today itself while returning from Delhi to Lucknow, the car of son-in-law Abhishek was involved in an accident!
