Five Indian States get New Governers


After the change of the central government, some other changes were seen on Monday July 14. New Governors have been appointed for five Indian states, which are Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Gujarat and Nagaland.


The BJP veteran Ram Naik, who has also served as a Union Cabinet Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has been appointed as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. Until now, he was the President of All India Disciplinary Committee of BJP.

Balram Das Tandon, who has been appointed as the Governor of Chhattisgarh, is also one of the eminent leader of the Bhartiya Janata Party. He had served as a Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab for a single year.


In West Bengal, the former speaker of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly, Keshari Nath Tripathi has been appointed as the new Governor.


The former member of Rajya Sabha, Om Prakash Kohli is the new governor of the state Gujarat and Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya as the new Governor of Nagaland.
