Garudan – Amazon – Prime Video (July 3, 2024)
Based on a narrative by Vetrimaaran, R. S. Durai Senthilkumar directs the action thriller Garudan, an Indian release from 2024 in the Tamil language. Producers K. Kumar’s Lark Studios and Vetrimaaran’s Grass Root Film Company are behind it. In addition to Roshini Haripriyan, Sshivada, Revathi Sharma, Samuthirakani, Vadivukkarasi, R. V. Udayakumar, and Mime Gopi in supporting roles, the film has Soori, M. Sarasikumar, and Unni Mukundan in the key roles. The protagonist of the tale is Sokkan, a dependable companion of Aadhi and Karuna, whose survival and treachery test his commitment.
Maharaja – Netflix (July 19, 2024)
In 2024, Nithilan Swaminathan, who also co-wrote the dialogue with Raam Murali, directed the Tamil-language criminal drama film Maharaja. Think Studios, The Route, and Passion Studios are the producers. In the film, Anurag Kashyap, Sachana Namidass, Mamta Mohandas, Natarajan Subramaniam, Abhirami, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Manikandan, Singampuli, and Bharathiraja play supporting roles to Vijay Sethupathi, who plays the main role. The barber in the narrative claims his “Lakshmi” missing following a house invasion, which causes the police to question his genuine motivations.
