Out of all the beautiful seasons, the monsoon season is as loud as a Garba music; right from the colours to the fabric it spells fashion. As for the monsoon, both, celebrities and commoners prepare themselves by making changes to the wardrobe they are going to wear during this season. Late, Bollywood glamorous Deepika Padukone was spotted enjoying dinner at Mizu in coordination wearing super-amorphous printed Cord that made her look so fresh and doll like. To match with the Mumbai monsoons she also had her hairs tied sorrow to her head with a tight bun and topped it with Stilettos. This had us searching for some of the best monsoon looks to achieve while putting in the least effort.

Looking great during the monsoon is stress free because there are many styles, frocks, jeans and trousers that fits the season. However, at times, deciding what to wear can also get a bit confusing because of the very same factor. Today the online edition of mid-day contacted fashion gurus to find out way out of monsoon fashion that assures style along with comfort.

Decoding fashion in monsoon

“Monsoon fashion deals with the types of Clothing which is comfortable in rainy season; the style of monsoon fashion is joyful with bright hues of colors and attractive prints to make rainy day happy”, As shared by Pooja Gupta founder of Amiraah multi-designer stores. Contrary, the monsoon look requires choosing the right shade of fabrics, ornaments, using accessories coupled with right hair and makeup.

Shravya Varma, celebrity fashion stylist seconds Pooja and adds: “MONSOON FASHION simply means the application of bright colors, flowers and patterns to combat the gloomy feel of the monsoon. While preference for cheerful outfits to make the rainy season lively, people have different tastes in clothes, different from the monsoon fashion described above may wear clothes that have neutral shades but they are happy with what they wear.”

The stylist himself says, “Hence it is better to opt for fabrics that are light weight, which gets dry easily and has the ability to wick the moisture away. “As for the fabrics that are good for skin and especially during the monsoons , general preference will be for fabrics which are cotton polyester blend , nylon, rayon and linen. They cling to the body not much, feel slightly on the naked parts of the skin smooth and are also comfortable.

Fashion experts advise experimenting with vivid colors, pastel shades, earthy and subdued tones, and contrasting pops of color, though you can experiment with any shade you like. Wearing lilac, peach, blue, pastel blue, and white—always a classic—is common during the monsoon season.

Unquestionably, white is the color of all seasons. Although there aren’t many compelling reasons to stay away from wearing white during a downpour, experts advise against it just to keep your clothing stain-free. “It is a matter of personal preference, but I won’t suggest them because they are difficult to maintain, transparent in the event that you get wet, and prone to stains,” Varma explains.
