At the Delhi airport on Tuesday, an IndiGo flight headed for Varanasi got a bomb threat; however, following extensive searches, authorities reported finding nothing unusual. Minutes before it was supposed to take off from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, the 176-passenger flight, 6E2211, was stopped on the runway. “A phone call about a bomb threat was received at 5:40 a.m. from the IGI airport. The pilot discovered a piece of paper with the message “BOMB BLAST @30 MINUTES” scrawled on it inside the flight bathroom, according to an official.
The official stated that the aircraft was transported right away to the isolation bay so that any necessary actions could be performed. A rapid reaction team was also dispatched, and they discovered no suspicious things. According to the official, every passenger departed by the emergency entrance and is safe.
In an official statement, IndiGo added that the plane was moved to a secluded bay in accordance with directives from airport security organizations. The flight is being inspected right now. The aircraft will be positioned back in the terminal area once all security procedures have been completed, according to the airline. The tissue paper with the word “bomb” scrawled on it that was discovered earlier this month in the Delhi airport restroom of an Air India flight was later discovered to be a fake.

The police had reported that they had got information about a piece of tissue paper with the word “bomb” scribbled on it that was discovered in the restroom of an Air India flight that was supposed to take off for Vadodara on May 15.
