Number of jobs to increase in the next three months
According to a report by the Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited (CRISIL) Research, an independent research authority, India will need around 50 million jobs by 2019 to maintain the current employment rate. With a slow paced economic growth that we are having since the past few years, this seems like a big challenge ahead for the newly elected government. .
A report by the World Bank suggests that the Indian economy grew by just 4.5 percent in the last fiscal year which clearly indicates that creating job opportunities on such a large scale in a span of six years will be quite a strenuous task. But here’s the good news!
According to a report by MyHiringClub.com, a job portal, the number of jobs in the next three months will increase by a considerable amount. Especially in the IT sector, the hiring activities are expected to witness a boom. Another survey by Manpower employment outlook suggests that employers all around the country are expecting a positive hiring trend.
According to their report, hiring will increase by forty one percent in the next three months. In mining and construction sector, hiring will increase by forty three percent and in finance, insurance, real estate and manufacturing sector it will increase by forty two per cent.

“The number of jobs has definitely increased in the past two- three years. We have seen an enormous demand of IT graduates, demand for economics and commerce graduates have also increased by a large amount. This year we had the maximum number of placements (300) which clearly shows that the number of jobs offered have increased. Above all, the IT and science graduates have witnessed a never before seen increase in demand. Even the internships that the first and second year students do have increased by a whopping amount,” said Ms. Pooja Sharma, Placement Cell Incharge of Daulat Ram College, Delhi University.
There have been lot of impediments on our way in the past few years which has discouraged many Multi National Companies to set up their business in India but with the newly elected government, we can hope that the number of jobs will increase by even more substantial amount in the long run.
