  1. Fear of Failure:
    • Fear of failure is a powerful motivator for self-sabotage. When individuals fear that they will not meet their own or others’ expectations, they may subconsciously engage in behaviors that sabotage their efforts to avoid the pain of failure. This fear can manifest as procrastination, perfectionism, or self-doubt, ultimately preventing them from reaching their goals.

    • Individuals with low self-esteem or feelings of unworthiness may engage in self-sabotaging behaviors as a form of self-punishment or validation of their negative beliefs about themselves.
