Union Minister’s Threat to AAP, Kejriwal in line to Join his Minister in financing violations
On Wednesday Morning, The Enforcement Director had arrested AAP MP Sanjay Singh after conducting a raid at his Residence.
The ED had also Questioned Sanjay Singh’s Staff and people connected to him. Sanjay Singh’s name appeared in the ED’s charge sheet. According to the report, middleman Dinesh Arora claimed to have met Singh at a function held at the restaurant Unplugged Courtyard.
According to the report, Singh asked him to approach restaurant owners in 2020 to raise money for the Aam Aadmi Party’s bid to win the Delhi assembly elections. He claimed to have provided a check in the amount of 82 lakh for the monies.
Dinesh Arora allegedly stated in his statement that another defendant Amit Arora requested assistance moving his liquor store from Okhla to Pitampura. He accomplished this through Singh, who alerted the Excise Department and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

This is the third high-profile arrest in the case; the first came while AAP’s communication in-charge Vijay Nair was arrested in September last year and 2nd came in February of this year, when Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was taken into custody. Both continue to be detained.
In response to the searches at its MP Sanjay Singh’s home, the AAP claimed that the ED had “targeted” Singh because he frequently raised questions about the Adani group in Parliament. “The Central agencies found nothing earlier and won’t find anything today either. First, they conducted raids at the residence of some journalists yesterday and today, raids were conducted at Sanjay Singh’s home,” the AAP claimed.
While Anurag Thakur refrained from naming Kejriwal as the person in charge of the alleged liquor scam, BJP made it abundantly apparent on Wednesday that Kejriwal is the scandal’s ringleader. “I challenge Arvind Kejriwal to conduct a press conference right away and deny taking the 32 lakh rupees that Dinesh Arora, the accused, claims to have given. Let the truth out,” stated BJP spokesman Gaurav Bhatia.
Kejriwal will soon be detained in the alcohol investigation, according to Manoj Tiwari, the president of the Delhi BJP. “Even though Sanjay Singh was detained today, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh’s attention will soon be diverted. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister, would soon be informed about the current investigation, according to Tiwari.
