The Indian government has reduced the qualifying percentile for the NEET-PG-2023 exam to Zero, allowing all medical graduates to apply for admission to super speciality programs this year. This decision was made to ensure that no PG seats go vacant. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) encouraged the move, but the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) voices concern, highlighting the necessity to maintain merit-based admissions.

It will however make things harder for applicants who were waiting for allotment of seats in Round 3 as well as hinder those waiting for an upgrade in seat allotment.
