Taking to Twitter, He wrote “I have heard from many Hindu-Canadians who are fearful after this targeted attack. I urge Hindu-Canadians to stay calm but vigilant. Please report any incident of Hinduphobia to your local law enforcement agencies.”

Hindu MP claimed that The Sikh and Hindu populations in Canada are connected by familial connections and other social and cultural ties, Pannun is attempting to incite the Hindu Canadians to provoke and split the two communities.

I want to be clear. The vast majority of our Sikh family members in Canada oppose the Khalistan movement. For a variety of reasons, the majority of Sikh Canadians may not publicly oppose the Khalistan movement, but they have strong ties to the Hindu community, according to Arya.

According to the website of the Indian High Commission in Ottawa, there are 230,000 Indian students and 700,000 non-resident Indians living in Canada.

According to the notification, Indian nationals studying in Canada “must also register” with the high commission in Ottawa, the consulates in Toronto and Vancouver, or both, via those organizations’ websites or the MADAD portal (madad.gov.in). The missions could “better connect with Indian citizens in Canada in the event of any emergency or untoward incident” if they registered.”
