Video: Delhi Cop Suspended;  Fined ₹ 5000 To korean man Without Receipt 

Unreceipted Fine In Delhi: Traffic Cop Suspended for Failing to Issue a receipt of Fine of Rs 5,000. A Korean man was fined Rs 5000 for breaking the traffic rules. Transparency Concerns Raised. The incident highlighted transparency issues in traffic policing.

In the video, the cop, identified as Mahesh Chand, tells the Korean man to pay ₹ 5,000 for an alleged traffic rule violation. The cop didn’t give him the receipt


Underlining that it has zero tolerance towards corruption, the Delhi police recently suspended a traffic cop who had fined a Korean national ₹ 5,000 but did not provide a receipt for the same.

The video of the month-old incident is now in wide circulation.

In the video, the cop, identified as Mahesh Chand, tells the Korean guy to pay ₹ 5,000 for an alleged site visitors violation. The person gives the cop ₹ 500, the video shows.The cop explains it’s ₹ 5,000 and not ₹ 500. The person directly hands him over the specified amount, they shake hands and the cop thanks him, shown in the video. 

Taking cognizance on the social media post, the concerned officer seen in the video has been placed under suspension pending inquiry. Delhi Police has zero tolerance policy towards corruption,” tweeted Delhi Traffic Police today.

Delhi Police has a zero tolerance policy towards corruption. In his defense, the now-suspended cop claims that the person left before he could hand him the receipt.
