International Rock Day is celebrated on 13 July, it’s a day when everyone pays a tribute to the rocks.
The study of rocks is known as Geology. Rocks fall under three categories; igneous , sedimentary and metamorphic. The international rock day is celebrated to honour the essence of life.

The main aim is to spread awareness about the importance of rocks and to encourage people from all over the world to learn more about rocks.
There are three types of rocks, the first category is Igneous rocks which start deep within the earth or molten lava. The second type is sedimentary rocks which are weathered into fragments and travelled by wind, water or ice. The third and the last are metamorphic rocks which are essentially ingenious and get changed by heat and pressure.

There are some exceptional methods in which you can celebrate the International Rock Day.
