From HUDA City Centre to Others: Metro Stations Whose Names Were Changed
In the most recent news, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to rename the HUDA City Centre Metro Station as Millennium City Centre Gurugram.
In reference to our earlier tweet regarding the renaming of the HUDA City Centre Metro station, this is to inform that the full name of the station will read as Millennium City Centre Gurugram.

The Change of Name
Initially, it was decided that HUDA City Centre would be renamed Millennium City Centre, but later the word ‘Gurugram’ was also added.

The DMRC official Twitter account also said that gradually all the documents would also be changed and the process had already been initiated.
Accordingly, the process of changing the name in all official documents, signage, announcements etc has been initiated and shall be changed gradually.

The HUDA city centre falls in Gurugram, Haryana, and is one of the most important stations on the yellow line as it is a getaway to the commercial hub in Gurugram.
Which other metro stations have been renamed in the past?
In the past few years, there is a new trend of renaming metro stations. The renaming of the HUDA City Centre Metro Station is the first renaming after 3 years of renaming the Pragati Maidan Metro Station.
