What should you know about the ICC ODI World Cup 2023?
- The first match will be on 5th October between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
- Just as the 2019 World Cup, there will be 10 teams that will play against each other and the top four will qualify for the semi-finals.
- The semifinals will be held in Mumbai and Kolkata.
- The Final will be on 19th November in Ahmedabad.
- There are a total of 48 matches that will be played between the different teams.
- The matches will go on for a total of 46 days.
- The matches will be held in 10 venues in Dharamshala, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Bengaluru and Mumbai.

- India’s first match will be against Australia on 8th October in Chennai.
- As usual, the most awaited match between India and Pakistan would be on October 15, 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. And the good news is that the match is on Sunday!
- This is also the first men’s Cricket World Cup that is being solely hosted by India. The 1987, 1996, and 2011 tournaments were hosted by India along with other countries.

Before the Tournament begins, warm-ups will be played in Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Guwahati between September 29 and October 3. The warm-up schedule was also shared and the matches will help different teams build up to the tournament.
