How will the cabinet reshuffle of 2021 change the dynamics?

Why did the big change happen due to a cabinet reshuffle?

PM Modi announces his biggest cabinet reshuffle. A few hours before the swearing-in, the country’s health, education, environment, and information and technology ministers resigned. A total of 12 ministers of the Modi government have been removed from the post. 36 new ministers have been included in Narendra Modi’s government, which gave the slogan of ‘Minimum Government and Maximum Governance’. This is the first cabinet expansion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second term. A total of 43 ministers have been included in this, out of which 15 have been sworn in as cabinet ministers. Actually, Prime Minister Modi had reviewed all the ministries in June. A 360-degree review of everyone’s work was done. Experts say that during this time PM Modi decided which minister to remove. First of all, let’s get to know about the five big ministers who have been removed from the post.

1. Harsh Vardhan, who was heading India’s Health Ministry during the Covid epidemic, had to resign. The health ministry has been completely changed. The government wants to show that whatever hardships or damages people have faced during the Covid pandemic, will not be allowed to happen now.” There was a phase of Covid management that people were asked to clap, then a phase came that Modi Ji started crying on the TV channel and now there is a phase when it is being indicated that it’s time to get to work.

2. During the new cabinet expansion, the Education Minister has also been removed from the post. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, coming from Uttarakhand, was representing the mountains in the Union Cabinet. India’s new education policy has been implemented during his tenure. The new education policy was made by these ministers. People were very upset due to the turmoil surrounding CBSE’s 12th and 10th examinations. One month was left and the students did not know whether the exam would be held or not. People did not understand what the government was trying to do.

3. Ravi Shankar Prasad also had to resign. The resignation of Ravi Shankar Prasad is also being linked to the Twitter controversy. The way Ravi Shankar Prasad challenged the world’s big tech companies, India got stuck in a strange situation. Where America also had to say that India is wrong. I think India did not mean to get involved in any global dispute. Even this has caused a lot of trouble for India.”

Apart from these ministers, Babul Supriyo, who came from West Bengal, has also been removed from the post of minister. It is believed that he has been removed due to the poor performance of the party in West Bengal. The Prime Minister has reviewed the work of every ministry. There is also a problem in this government, you can also call it a good situation, that the Prime Minister is the taskmaster. The rest of the people are not able to walk with them. Those who are not able to walk at his speed, they gradually start falling out. This is what happened to the ministers who have been removed.“

Jyotiraditya Scindia, who came from Congress to BJP, has taken oath as a cabinet minister. Former Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal has also been made a minister. For the first time in the eighth year of the Modi government, the maximum number of women ministers have been given place. Now there will be 11 women ministers in the Modi government. On Wednesday evening, 15 cabinet ministers and 28 ministers of state took the oath. It also includes Pashupati Paras of Lok Janshakti Party and RCP Singh of JDU.

Eyes on Up Elections?

Seven people are being included in the cabinet expansion from Uttar Pradesh. Pankaj Chaudhary, BJP MP from Maharajganj seat of Uttar Pradesh has been sworn in as Minister of State in the Council of Ministers. At the same time, Anupriya Singh Patel of Apna Dal has also been made Minister of State. Anupriya Patel was also made a minister in the first term of the Modi government. In view of the UP elections to be held in the year 2022, BJP’s ally Apna Dal (S) president Anupriya Patel was made a part of Modi Government 2.0. She took oath as Minister of State today. Anupriya Patel is a two-time MP from the Mirzapur Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh. She is considered a good influence among the backwards of UP, especially the Patels.  BJP wants to give more power to non-Jatav Dalits and non-Yadav OBCs. The focus of the party has been on these castes since the year 2014, now efforts are being made to strengthen these castes further. The government wants to give a message that what has not been given to these castes by the parties or leaders who do politics in the name of backwardness, is being given to them.

The PM has taken brave decisions in his 7 years of service to the nation. PM Modi took a lot of risks to bring this decision of demonetization into effect. He knew that both his name and popularity were at stake, but despite this, he took this decision. The issue of new Goods and Service Tax (GST) and upper caste reservation in India were pending for a long time.

Three years after the Modi government came to power, the GST was passed by the Parliament and it came into force in the country from July 1, 2017. This was the biggest step towards tax reform in the country. The purpose of implementing GST is the One Nation – One Tax (One Nation, One Tax) system.
