1.Dozens injured as Israeli Police, Palestinians clash at Jerusalem’s AI- Aqsa Mosque

Israeli police fired water cannon and rubber bullets to disperse Palestinian protestors and it left many injured.  Notably, more than 200 people were wounded during the attack on AL Aqsa Mosque. The attack has been condemned by many all across the world. Turkey condemns Israeli raid on AI- Aqsa Mosque.

2.Fake Remdesivir Injections containing Salt and Glucose are being circulated in Madhya Pradesh

As per reports, an inter-state gang has supplied at least 1200 fake Remdesivir injections, containing salt and glucose in Madhya Pradesh in the last month.  An investigation has revealed that injections were sold as genuine Remdesivir at a very high rate.  This comes at a time when Remdesivir is in high demand for treating COVID-19 patients.

3.18 Aligarh Muslim University professors died in the last 20 days

According to reports, as many as 18 Aligarh Muslim University professors succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 20 days. AMU Vice Chancellor Tariq Mansoor has written to the Indian Council of Medical Research and asked them to analyse the samples of the virus from the campus.  He has requested to conduct a viral genome sequencing. Apart from it, many retired AMU professors have lost their lives to COVID-19, as per reports.

  1. Actor Rahul Vohra died due to COVID-19, his last post left us heartbroken

Actor – Youtuber Rahul Vohra passed away after COVID-19 complications.  Earlier this week, he had spoken about contracting the virus and pleaded for help. Recently, Youtuber Ashish Chanchlani expressed shock at the untimely demise of actor Rahul Vohra. In a conversation with The Quint, he also recalled the incident when he came to know Rahul. Ashish revealed once a person was trying to troll Rahul and he defended him and that’s how they came to know each other.

5. Himanta Biswa Sarma takes oath as the Chief Minister of Assam

Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday took oath as the Chief Minister of Assam. Notably, the Bhartiya Janta Party won a second straight term in the recently concluded assembly polls in the state. The party had won 60 seats in the 126 seat Assam assembly.

6. Government released new guidelines on the double masking

The government has released new guidelines on double masking.  The government in a statement has said that a double mask should definitely consist of a surgical mask and a double or triple layered cloth mask. It further elaborated that it should be pressed tightly on the nose bridge.

7.Delhi High Court grants bail to Natasha Narwal as her father passed away due to COVID-19 complications

Activist Natasha Narwal gets interim bail for three weeks after her father passed away due to COVID-19. Last year, she was booked for alleged conspiracy linked to the Delhi riots and was charged under UAPA. Her father died due to COVID-19. Her brother is in isolation after he tested positive for COVID-19.  Therefore, there is nobody to perform the last rites. In that case, Natasha has been granted bail for three weeks.
